Our purpose is to provide national leadership and representation for services that work to strengthen the wellbeing, safety and resilience of families, children and communities. Our vision is for an Australian society that is enriched through respectful relationships in all their diversity. Our MembersFRSA member organisations deliver professional, quality assured family and relationship services across Australia through more than 400 outlets. Our membership includes faith-based and secular organisations, ranging in size and scope from small local community organisations to large state-wide and national service providers. The diversity of our membership network is a strength, reflecting the diversity of families and communities in contemporary Australian society. Our mission is to provide national leadership and representation for the development and delivery of quality relationship services and public policy relevant to individual and family relationships. Our ValuesTo achieve our mission, FRSA works in partnership with government, community, business and research sectors. We draw on the expertise of member organisations and research evidence to promote best practice in strengthening families and communities. Our GoalsThe FRSA Strategic Plan 2007-2010 outlines our key objectives against the following 4 goals: 1. Provide national leadership for respectful family and individual relationships. Our SponsorsFRSA and the services provided by its member organisations are funded through the Commonwealth Government's Family Relationship Services Program. This program receives appropriations from the Attorney-General's Department (AGD) and the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA). The Program is administered on behalf of both Departments by FaHCSIA through its Family Relationship Services Branch and the FaHCSIA State and Territory Office (STO) network.
