The scholarship scheme was funded by the Attorney-General’s Department with the aim of increasing opportunities for people from Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to undertake training to obtain the Vocational Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution (FDR). The goal is to increase the number of FDR practitioners from these backgrounds, building workforce diversity and the capacity of the service sector to respond appropriately to community needs.

This scheme is a pilot only, however FRSA hopes it may provide a model for future scholarship schemes within the Family Support Program. We will keep members up to date with any future scholarship rounds via our fortnightly e-bulletin.
