Government & NGO Contracting
- The Productivity Commission was tasked by the Australian Government with assessing the Contribution of the Not-for-Profit sector and impediments to its development. When the report was released in January 2010, the sector made up just over 4 per cent of GDP (just under $43 billion), with nearly 5 million volunteers contributing an additional $14.6 billion in unpaid work.
- The National Compact between the Australian Government and the Third Sector was released in March 2010 as part of the Government's Social Inclusion Agenda.
- The Not-for Profit Reform Council is made up of eminent figures from the not-for-profit sector to help drive the Government's plans to reform the sector.
- The NZ Code of Funding Practice helps New Zealand government funders and not-for-profit organisations work together when using public funds to benefit communities.
- Interview with Robert Fitzgerald, Productivity Commission Comissioner, (2010) on National Interest concerning the final report of the Productivity into the Contribution of the Not-for-Profit Sector.
