Executive Director
Samantha Page MMan (Community), BA (Psych) & MAICD. Sam directs the operational work of FRSA, leading the dedicated staff team based in Canberra. Skilled in consultation, policy analysis and representation, Sam participates in various national forums and activities on behalf of FRSA Members. Prior to joining FRSA Sam held senior roles across the public, private and community sectors, with a consistent emphasis on supporting quality in human service delivery.
Board of Directors
Anne Hollonds, Chairperson, BA, BSocStud, MBA, Registered Psychologist, Member AICD. Anne has been the CEO of Relationships Australia NSW for ten years, one of the largest and most complex FRSP-funded family services organisations, as well as a major provider of training and workplace programs. Anne has successfully utilised the media in community education, and has supported innovation and research partnerships to facilitate practice. Anne has a background in child protection and out-of-home care, child and family mental health, tertiary education, former Churchill Fellow, presenter at international conferences, former member of NSW Child Protection Council.
Jennifer Hannan, Vice Chairperson, BSW (Hons) Cert Fam.Therapy, Grad.Dip Dispute Resolution, MAASW. Jennie is the Executive General Manager - Services for Anglicare WA overseeing all of their programs including their highly successful contact orders program, Mums and Dads Forever. Building on more than 25 years experience as a social worker and family therapist, Jennie has a passion for issues related to children which has led her interest in terms of separation issues for children and their treatment in the family court system.
Tony O'Hare, Finance Committee Chair, M (Psych) MAICD, AF AIM. Tony is the Managing Director of Community Services Australia which operates family relationship services across QLD and NSW. In addition to experience gained as a practicing psychologist for more than a decade, Tony brings expertise in governance and the management of both community and corporate agencies. He holds a number of directorships and positions on government and sector advisory or reference groups at both state and national level.
Tony Pietropiccolo, BA (Soc. Sc.); Dip. Psych. Tony is the Director of Centrecare which provides a large range of social services to the West Australian community both in Perth and in remote areas of the State. He has been involved in community activities and the social service sector in both paid and voluntary positions for nearly 30 years. Over this time, Tony has participated in numerous committees and commissions at both state and national level.
Luke Rumbold BSW, MSW, PhD, FAIM. Luke is the CEO of Upper Murray Family Care in the regional centre of Wodonga (Victoria). Luke’s professional background is in Social Work and his professional membership includes being a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. Prior to becoming CEO, Luke’s work involved general casework, family counselling, foster care, residential care program supervisor, family support supervisor and community development. His practitioner experience has all been in a rural/regional context.
Judi Geggie, BA, M Ed Studs. is currently the Director of the Family Action Centre (FAC) at the University of Newcastle. The FAC represents a unique model of university-community engagement whereby innovative service delivery to families and communities provides a platform from which research, and teaching and learning initiatives are developed. During her 22 years at the FAC Judi has thus been at the forefront of the FAC’s innovative work with families living permanently on caravan parks, families in need of social support, boys, men and fatherhood, and Indigenous families.
Michael Hunt is the CEO of Relationship Australia Victoria (RAV). He has held various senior management roles since 1986 building on more than 25 years experience as a family and child mediator/counsellor. RAV provides a range of federally and state funded services and offers many services to CALD and indigenous groups from 15 locations in Victorian metropolitan and regional locations. RAV leads four Family Relationship Centres and is a Consortium Partner and Sub-Contractor in an additional four and also provides training in another four Family Relationship Centres in Victoria. Michael Hunt is also convener of Victorian Family Relationship Centre Group (15 CEO’s meet regularly). Michael is also currently on the Board of Relationships Australia National and has convened the RAN Family Dispute Resolution Network since 1998.
The Honourable Justice Stephen Thackray is the Chief Judge of the Family Court of Western Australia. Graduating with Honours from the University of Western Australia in 1977, he practised as a Barrister and Solicitor specialising in Family Law matters from 1978 until 1997, during which time he was elected President of the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Western Australia. He took up an appointment as the Principal Registrar and Principal Magistrate of the Family Court of Western Australia in 1997 and was appointed as a Judge of the Court in 2004. His Honour was appointed as one of the eight Judges of the Appeal Division of the Family Court of Australia in November 2006 and in February 2007 he was appointed as the Chief Judge of the Family Court of Western Australia.
Elizabeth O’Connor is the Executive Manager of Family Relationship Services at Centacare Adelaide. She has held this position since 2004 and prior to that time, held a variety of senior roles at Centacare. The current role oversees 14 programs with approximately 60 staff delivering services in urban, regional and rural regions of South Australia. Centacare Adelaide has a strong commitment to Social Justice reflected in our inclusivity of all people, regardless of religion, race, cultural or economic circumstances. Several of the Programs within the Family Relationship Services unit are Aboriginal specific and inclusive of minority groups.
