Join FRSA

Member Benefits

FRSA members work collaboratively to strengthen families and communities through relationship support and education.  As a national network, FRSA is able to build partnerships with related sectors and peak bodies, research institutions and training providers.  Membership of FRSA enhances the capacity of individual agencies and facilitates the achievement of shared goals.

Members also enjoy direct benefits, including:

      • Regular updates on the latest developments relevant to the delivery of services to families;
      • Fortnightly e-bulletin with program/policy news, conference/training events and funding opportunities;
      • Weekly media review which summarises relevant media coverage with links to articles concerned with family relationship issues;
      • Monthly resource review with research and resource updates
      • Regular communication with peer agencies and practitioners through online discussion boards on the members’ website;
      • Group discounts on products and services;
      • National conferences and other training events;
      • Opportunities to actively contribute to policy development and decision-making through involvement in preparing submissions and advice to Government;
      • Engagement in consultation and research projects to inform practice and policy development, including opportunities to join advisory and reference groups.

Membership Categories

There are currently two categories of FRSA membership:

1. Full Membership for organisations that receive funding through the Family Relationship Services Program (FRSP).
2. Associate Membership for individuals and organisations that do not directly receive FRSP funding but support the objectives of FRSA.

All members receive FRSA newsletters and publications, participate in consultation activities and have access to networking opportunities.  Full members can nominate and elect Board Directors, vote in General Meetings and propose changes to the constitution. Associate members have the right to be nominated for board positions (with the endorsement of 2 full members) and attend general meetings.

FRSA welcomes applications for Associate Membership from:

      • Organisations working in consortium or partnership with full member organisations;
      • Individuals employed within family relationship services;
      • Research institutes and individual academics;
      • Training and education providers;
      • Organisations working in related service sectors;
      • Overseas organisations; and
      • Individuals with an interest in family relationships.

All membership applications are subject to approval by the FRSA Board of Directors.
